Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans Offered by Health Net Life Insurance Company

Health Net sells several Medigap policies. This can help to ensure that individuals get the right plan for them. These include both the basic options (such as Plan A), and larger plans (such as Plan F and G).

The full range of plans from Health Net include:

  • Plan A
  • Plan C
  • Plan F
  • High Deductible Plan F
  • Plan G
  • Plan K
  • Plan L
  • Plan M

Let’s get started with the most basic plan, Medigap Plan A:

  • Medicare Part A hospital copayment for days 61 through 150, as well as an additional 365 lifetime days once the enrollee’s lifetime reserve day’s end.
  • The first three pints of blood needed each year
  • Part A hospice copayment and / or coinsurance
  • Medicare Part B copayment

Other Medicare Supplement plans must provide the core benefits in Plan A, along with other benefit options. (In some cases, however, the benefits that are offered in certain other Medigap plans will be provided at a percentage of coverage, such as 50% or 80%).

In order to get a more comprehensive array of benefits, Medicare Supplement Plan F may be chosen:

  • Medicare Part A hospital copayment for days 61 through 150, as well as an additional 365 lifetime days once the enrollee’s lifetime reserve days end.
  • The first three pints of blood needed each year
  • Part A hospice copayment and / or coinsurance
  • Medicare Part B copayment or coinsurance
  • Medicare Part A deductible
  • Skilled nursing facility copayment (Days 21 through 100)
  • Medicare Part A deductible
  • Medicare Part B deductible
  • Medicare Part B excess charges
  • Foreign Travel Emergency coverage

Due to offering more benefit options, Medicare Supplement Plan F will typically be more expensive in terms of premium in comparison to Plan A or Plan B. However, in order to help cut down on premium costs, while at the same time having this comprehensive set of benefit options, there is also a Plan F high deductible plan available. This plan offers the same set of benefits that are included in the regular Plan F option, however, before the benefits begin to pay out, the insured will first have to meet an annual deductible.
