Medicare Supplement Quotes

Medico Company Review

Written by Jason Patterson

If you’re apart of Medicare, then you may be familiar with the many out-of-pocket expenses you can still be charged with, such as deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. Depending on how much you visit your medical professionals, these costs could begin to add up. Because of this, you can help to protect yourself with a Medicare Supplement insurance plan.

Medicare Supplement is designed to cover the “gaps” that are left by Medicare. These plans are commonly known as Medigap plans. There are 10 plans.

But, before you purchase a Medicare Supplement plan, it will be important that you ensure that you check and compare premium quotes. These policies are standardized by the government.

Regardless of which carrier you choose, the protection is going to be the same. Even though the protection is the same, the premiums won’t be. You need to do some quote hunting before you choose the company.

In addition to checking the premium prices, you should check the financial strength and stability of the insurance company that you are buying the plan through. You need a company who is concerned with your needs and offers quality protection. One of those companies is Medico Insurance Company.

The History of Medico

Medico Insurance Company has been in the business of offering insurance coverage since 1930. The company has been offering solid coverage products to those who are in the mature market. In fact, the company has been offering such products even before the introduction of the Medicare program itself.

In 1975, Medico started to offer Medicare Supplement plans, and it has continued to do so ever since. Medico Insurance Company is licensed in 47 of the U.S. states, and its subsidiary company, Medico Corp Life Insurance Company, is licensed in 45 states.

But the company was not always referred to as Medico Insurance Company. In 2006, Medico Mutual Insurance Holding Company was formed, and Mutual Protective was reorganized to a stock company. This company was named Medico Insurance Company.

Just two years later, in 2008, Medico Insurance Company started offering an innovative product to its customers. This was a Dental, Vision, and Hearing insurance policy. In 2012, Medico Insurance Company merged with American Enterprise.

Later, in 2014, Medico Insurance Company started to offer a Hospital Indemnity Insurance Plan. That same year, Medico Corp Life Insurance Company also started to offer Medicare Supplement insurance plans.
